SIEM Engineer responsible for supporting and implementing the organization's security monitoring strategy to protect data, systems and networks from potential threats. The role includes designing, configuring and maintaining SIEM and Security Data Lake components, ensuring effective log collection, ingestion, parsing, normalization and monitoring across the technology environment.Key responsibilities include monitoring the health and performance of SIEM and SDL platforms, troubleshooting issues, implementing log source integrations, validating log data quality, and developing and tuning detection rules, dashboards and reports. The position also supports incident investigations, operational coordination and collaboration with IT, security and support teams to resolve issues and improve monitoring effectiveness.The successful candidate will contribute to security monitoring architecture, risk management and compliance activities while maintaining documentation, supporting audits and identifying opportunities to improve procedures, configurations and operational practices.Candidates should have experience in Information Systems, cybersecurity monitoring and detection engineering practices, security architecture principles and cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with SIEM technologies such as QRadar, Elastic, ArcSight or Sentinel, log collection tools such as Splunk Universal Forwarder, Fluentd or Cribl, and Security Data Lake platforms is desirable. Knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, incident response, cloud-hosted infrastructure, scripting and automation using Python or Bash is valued. Experience with AI agents and automation workflows is a plus.Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively within global virtual teams, manage multiple priorities and contribute to team success.
