We are looking for a Data Engineer with Google focus to join Capgemini Portugals Data and AI consulting team. The role involves designing and implementing scalable data models and pipelines to support analytics and AI workloads, helping clients move from raw ingestion to trusted, business-ready data products.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud for batch and streaming use cases such as Dataflow and Pub or Sub.Implement ELT or ETL patterns into BigQuery, ensuring analytics-ready datasets with clear transformation logic using SQL or Python.Apply data modeling best practices and support performance and cost optimization.Orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow to ensure reliable scheduling and monitoring.Ensure data quality through validation checks, monitoring, and operational controls.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize pipelines for performance and scalability.YOUR PROFILEAt least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering delivering data pipelines and analytics solutions.Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud data services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub or Sub.Experience or familiarity with workflow orchestration using Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow.Understanding of modern data platform concepts such as data lake, warehouse, or lakehouse.Familiarity with DataOps or DevOps practices applied to data engineering.Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work in ambiguous environments.Fluency in Portuguese and English, spoken and written.
